Some common questions to help us identify the source
Site slowness is sometimes tricky to troubleshoot, but here is some information that can help us work together to identify the cause of the issue. Provide as many answers to these questions as you can:
- Is the slowness experienced by one user or many?
- Are they a specific type of user (admin, instructor, preceptor, manager, standard user)?
- Are there specific pages or actions where the slowness is experienced most frequently?
- What time is the slowness experienced (specific timeframes with timezone)?
- Are they on your local network? Are they connected to a VPN? Wired or Wireless? If they’re not local are they on a mobile hotspot, home, or public network?
- Is this happening on multiple browsers (ie. Edge and Chrome)?
- Is this happening on different types of devices (laptop, desktop, mobile, tablet)?
- Sites are behind a load balancer; upon login users are routed to a web server visible in the URL (701, 702, 703, 704, 705). Is slowness happening regardless of the server or is it only noticeable on one of the servers?
