      Why won't the xls template download?

      Fixing "We're fetching your file" error when downloading XLS Uploader Templates in Microsoft Edge

      When navigating to Advanced View > Learning objects > Courses > Actions > XLS Upload, to download the XLS uploader template, you may see a message or spinning loader that never actually loads the file.

      This is usually caused by the Edge setting, “Open Office Files in the Browser”, being enabled. 

       

      The following steps can be taken in Microsoft Edge to allow the file to download correctly.

      1. Click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the Edge browser to open the browser menu.
      2. Select Settings > Downloads
      3. Disable the “Open Office files in the browser” setting.
      4. Retry downloading the “XLS Upload” file.
