Add a Test Instance to a Course

After creating a test instance, the next step is to attach it to a course for use. Here are the steps to add a test instance as a "post" test - after the course:

1. Navigate to the learning object (course) you want to attach the test instance. 
2. Edit the learning object and go to the Advanced section (near the bottom of the page) to the Test box. 
3. Click the Add button, which should open a window with the Test Instance List. 
4. Check the box next to the Test Instance to add to the course and click the Add Test Instance button. 
5. The name of the test instance should display in the Test box. 
   

Here are the steps to add a test instance as a "pre" test - before the course:

1. Navigate to the learning object (course) you want to attach the test instance. 
2. Edit the learning object and go to the Advanced section (near the bottom of the page) to the PreTest box. 
3. Click the Add button, which should open a window for the Add Learning Object PreTest.
4. Select a test instance from the PreTest list and select any of the optional fields below: 
   1. Force Pretest – if checked forces the user to take the pretest before the course.
   2. Passing Score – enter a score to pass the pretest. 
   3.  Course Force Complete – if checked will automatically change the enrollment status to Completed, it the user meets the passing score.
   4. Force Complete Passing Score – enter a test score to force complete. 
5. Click the Add Test Instance button to save your selection. 
6. The Pretest window will display any selections.
   
7. Save the learning object in the upper right corner to exit.
